Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitor. Impotence drug.
Action:
Tadalafil acts by inhibiting the action of PDE5 which is responsible for degradation of cGMP.
Duration:
24 hrs to 36 hrs
Indications and Dosage
Oral
Adult: Initially 10mg approximately 30 minutes to 12 hours before sexual intercourse. Adjust subsequent doses, according to response to 20 mg as a single dose.
Max dose: 20 mg in 24 hrs
Daily use not recommended.
In hepatic or mild renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min), max dose is 10mg.
What side effects may occur?
The most common side effects when using tadalafil are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. These side effects usually go away after a few hours.
